Society for Advanced Body Imaging Membership Levels
The Society for Advanced Body Imaging welcomes to membership all physicians and terminal-degreed scientists who image the body regardless of modality used, body system specialization or career level. SABI membership consists of active members, in-training members, and fellows.
Active Membership
Active members are:
- Physicians actively involved in the field of radiology and who are board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Radiology
- Non-physician scientists with doctoral degrees who have finished training and are engaged in practice, training or research related to body imaging
- Scientists without a doctoral degree who have petitioned the Membership Committee for special consideration
The privileges afforded to active members include:
- The right to vote, hold office, and serve on standing and ad hoc committees
- Eligibility to submit abstracts to the Research and Science Committee
- Attendance at the scientific session
- Attendance at the research reception provided members have authored or co-authored a scientific session presentation
Dues:
- One year - $250
- Two years - $475
- Three years - $675
In-training Membership
In-training members are:
- Physicians currently enrolled in an approved radiology residency program in the U.S. or Canada*
- Physicians currently enrolled in a post-residency fellowship program
*Individuals residing outside of the U.S. or Canada may join the Society as members.
The privileges afforded to in-training members include:
- Eligibility to submit abstracts to the Research and Science Committee
- Attendance at the scientific session
- Attendance at the research reception provided members have authored or co-authored a scientific session presentation
In-training applicants must submit a membership application along with verification of enrollment in an approved radiology residency program, including the program name and start and end date of the program.
Dues: Free
In-training membership is complimentary for the length of the residency or fellowship program. Upon program completion, in-training members are automatically eligible for active membership.
